The adoption agency my parents used was the International Assistance Group (IAG) which was based in Pittsburgh. Every year during the Christmas season IAG hosted a Christmas party for families who had adopted a child from Russia. At one of these parties in January 2000 when I was about 3 years old‚ the head of the agency introduced my parents to the adoptive parents of my biological sister‚ who at the time was about 4 or 5 at the time. During the party the two of us played together‚ but we were not told that we were sisters. Our two families‚ however‚ did exchange names and contact information. Unfortunately this contact information was destroyed when we had a major house fire in 2006. My parents remember that my sister’s first name was Victoria‚ that her last name began with an “S”‚ and that she and her family lived in Greensburg‚ PA. My research on the Internet shows that you have been teaching English at Greensburg-Salem HS for the past 15 years‚ so I thought that you might remember teaching a young student named Victoria who was adopted from Russia
