Hello. I was adopted in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, a few days or so after I was born (about 10) and I was born on August 31, 1968, I was likely a ’black market’ baby, during the ’religious matching’ ring that was taking place in post-war Canada at the time. I am of Greek biological origin (96.9 %) and south Italian, according to my DNA tests, so it would seem both my birth parents were Greek, Because my adoptive parents were Jewish, they could not adopt a baby of another religion without it going underground. I was adopted to a Jewish family in Montreal, parents were Ronald and Shirley Babins (alias Hannon). My birth mother may not have chosen to give me up for adoption, she may have been forced. My birth certificate was issued 11 months after my birth in July, 1969, and was made "legit" by an uncle attorney of mine on my father’s side, Sydney Phillips. My birth mother may have been nursed in one of 12 maternity homes in the city of Montreal at the time, either possibly led by a woman named Sarah Weiman on Laval street in Chomedey, Quebec, or a woman named Rachel Baker (aka "Rosey") who was a baby courier, and also, apparently may have run a prostitution ring in Chomedey. About 350,000 babies were forced into adoption or coerced with money in the black market following World War 2, and I believe I was one of them.
