I am trying to find my birth father or information about my birth father. I found out i was adopted by my Stepfather last year and my mother passed away when i was 25. She got rid of any documentation that tells me who he was. She married him in Winnipeg in 1967, they moved to Barrie, Ontario in December 1969. Sometime in 1970 she left him in Ontario and went to Montreal to be with her true love, my stepfather/dad. They were divorced sometime between 1970 and 1971. I only know his name was Michael Joye and that he came over with his mother Violet from Wimbledon, London. He was born in 1945. That he an my mother were married on June 24, 1967 in Manitoba. His parents were Mike and Violet Joye. i have a picture of the two of them at my Aunts wedding. l would like any information i can get my hands on, i have questions i would like answers to I don’t know if he is still alive as he may be in his 70’s by now. i am turning 50 this year and would like to know who i am.
