My name is Joanne Leznoff(adoptee). I was born in Montreal Quebec on February 25 1959 and was adopted 10 days later in a private adoption. The name of the birthmother was given to me when records were unsealed. It was Eleanora Greene‚ whom I have learned died in 1961. I have not been able to determine the birth father’s name. I believe the birth mother Miss Greene stayed with possibly the attending Obstetrician’s family before the birth. The Doctor’s name I believe was Dr. Portnuff. Through Ancestry I have been in contact with a few family members from both maternal and paternal sides based on the DNA evidence but am looking for more information.
