My father-in-law had a document in Chinese written on red paper in which he adopted a baby girl in 1958. The document gives the names of the relinquishing parents‚ and his wife and notes this was their third daughter. My father-in-law‚ Leong Pak Lin‚ lived in Kampar at the time and later moved to Ipoh.
