My maternal grandfather was adopted around 1910 by Lorenza and Ignazio Canderozzi. They named him Joseph. They lived in New York. He was not aware of his adoption until around 1940. He never had any info on his birth family or dob and place of birth. He celebrated his birthday on September 6. That may not be his actual dob. I have been searching for the birth family for many years now.
