I’m am searching on behalf of my father. He was born in Jacksonville, Florida in 1963. He is believed to be of Irish and Native American decent (Irish father, Seminole Native American mother). He was adopted at the age of 5 in Pennsylvania, but has absolutely no memory of how he got from Florida to Pennsylvania. The last name on his original birth certificate is Suggs. My father has recently expressed how he has always felt like he has not fully known himself and a part of him is missing. As much as he would have loved to have known his birth parents we are really looking forward to seeking clarity on our possible Native American heritage. If we are of that decent we are both excited to learn more about the tribe and it’s culture.
