Gloria passed away in 2018‚ she is my maternal grandmother and was one of my closest friends. She shared all she knew about her birth family with me before she died. She was the youngest of 9 or 11 children born in the Philadelphia area. She was possibly Irish and the birth family name was possibly Phillips. I know she met some family members in the 1970s-1990s. Her mother was placed in an institution after her birth and not all of her siblings were placed for adoption‚ some stayed with their father. She was adopted by George and Emma Burk in 1940 or 1941 she was under the age of 2‚ possibly under the age of 1.
