I am looking for my half-brother. Michael was his birth name but I’m not positive how it was recorded. Elizabeth (Betsy) Sydney Phillips was his birth mother She was a teenager and her father sent her from Virginia to live in a home for unwed mothers and give birth there. I think this was in Philadelphia‚ and likely the Catholic Charities‚ but her family was Episcopalian. I believe she gave birth when she was 17‚ so 1962 or 1963. There was a family room that her son sent an investigator to my mother's father's house in Newport News around 2001-2003 or so‚ and that my grandfather told the investigator that my mom was not interested in being in touch with her son. This is not true!!! When she confronted her father he said that no one had ever come to the house. So this could be a false story within the family meant to stir up drama‚ or it could have happened.
