Im Aunt to the Adoptee.. His mother was Barbara Joan Bumbaugh who went by the name of Jan..She was born in May 1934-35. She was attending college and in her last year and became pregnant by someone who attenting college at the same college she attended..Which was Miami University.. She came home and told her parents she was pregnant so they took her to an older sister who was living in Steubenville Ohio at the time.. Then they took her to the Florence Crittenden home in Pittsburgh‚ PA.. The father was Catholic and Jan was a Christian Scientist.. They were both opposing the marriage so since she had no way to take care of him he was adopted.. She told me it was a private adoption so I think he ( Jerome) might have been adopted by some friend of the sister.. Jan also told me he was named after her doctor Jerome Fulton and that he had red hair when he was born.. She is now deceased.. He does have a sistr that ws born after he was and she was also adopted. She woulod love to find her brother...
