I am trying to help my cousin find his Mom’s family. My Aunt was adopted into our family sometime after 1950. Her birthdate is July 5 1949. My grandparents lived in Chicago during this time so we are assuming the adoption happened at that time. I have done research and found that during the 1950 census she was not living with them yet‚ just my father was‚ that is why we assume it is after April of 1950. At one point my Aunt said her previous name was Susan Botts (not sure on how to spell the last name so some variation of that) if that info is remembered accurately.
