My paternal grandfather was adopted and we know very little surrounding the circumstances. He did not learn he was adopted until he was 16. Unfortunately‚ he passed away in 1995‚ but I’ve always wondered what our "real" last name should be. My father took a DNA test recently and learned that he’s almost half Italian‚ and none of that comes from his mother’s side. I had searched before years ago and found records that indicated he may have been at the Bethany Children’s Home prior to adoption.
