My son was given up for adoption at birth.This was a private, closed adoption a few months before he was born. I was 18 years old at the time. I’ve never seen him. He was born in Philadelphia at Nazareth Hospital and the adoptive parents are/were from Norristown, Pa.. I was told they were Catholic, lived in a nice single home and I believe either the father or mother was a lawyer and the other was also a professional, but I don’t remember what. I’m thinking maybe a teacher, but I could be wrong. It was a closed private adoption so I never got to meet or see the adoptive parents. They came and got him right from the hospital when he was just days old. In 1981, they were in their early to mid 30’s. The adoption took place at the Norristown, Pa. Court House. The lawyer was Mr. Hollinger and I think the adoptive parents possibly knew him personally, but again not fact. I was told that if he wanted to, he could get into his file once he turned 18 and get my information, but again, I don’t know how much of that is true. I don’t know if he was ever told he was adopted. That of course was part of the agreement before I signed papers, but, I was lied to in so many ways during that whole time but didn’t know it until more recently. I have no information on his whereabouts at all. Nothing to go by except what I’ve already mentioned and his birthday. I desperately want to find him and tell him how much I love him and always have. I’ve been searching for so long and he also has many siblings who are just as anxious to meet him. If anyone knows someone who might fit this description, please contact me and let me know. I don’t want to die never knowing my 1st child.
