He would say that he remembers having red headed siblings. He also passed a couple of years ago. Apparently the adoption occurred in Pennsylvania‚ (not sure where in PA). Was told that the Record place burned down but I am unsure if that is true or false. Can’t find a birth certificate. But the earliest Record I have for him is a census Record that states he was 6 years old living with his adopted mother and father and that was the 1940s census. Carl A. Swanson (adopted Father) Myrtle Virginia Tarbutton (Adopted mother). He was around 5 or 6 years old when he was adopted. His adoption would have taken place between 1938-1940. His adopted Name is Carl Franklin Swanson. It was said that his Birth mother’s name was Betty Ford at the time. She was married to a Raymond Ford. I don’t know her maiden name. Not much is known on account of his adopted mother did not want to give any information.
