I was born in Pittsburgh, PA on April 9, 1968. My birth mother contacted an attorney in Castle Shannon, PA to handle the adoption a few months before I was born. The attorney contacted my adoptive parents and was the only one who knew who my birth mother was. My birth mother was not married to my birth father- he was already married and had a child (my 1/2 sibling). I do have several letters from the attorney, but no other information. My adoptive parents were contacted by the state (PA- we had moved to TN when I was 1) when I was 2 (1970ish) to let them know my birth mother and birth father had another child (girl) to give them the option to adopt her. Back then they were not able to adopt over state lines, so I have no other info other than I have a full blooded sister also.
