I was born premature in Sharon PA and stayed in the NICU until June 6th 1984. I was given the name Megan in the hospital, that name was changed when I was adopted through Catholic Charities in Dubois PA, then moved to Erie PA. My father was older then my teenage mother. I had a good life and did not want to hurt my adopted mother but the more I see my own child grow I want to feel that connection even just from afar or knowing the names of my birth family. I previously wrote here that I was curious and needed health information. As that is still true, after taking a DNA test and finding only 2nd cousins at the closest that don’t seem open to helping, I realized just how much knowing who my close birth family is really would mean to me. As well as perhaps it might just stop this untethered feeling I have.
