I was born in Philadelphia on April 4‚ 1964. I am a white female. My birth mother was 21 years old and came from out of state to stay with her father for the birth. She is described as tall and slender with very blond hair and blue eyes. Her ancestry is English and Irish. She was the oldest of three in her family. She has two younger brothers who were 15 and 19 at the time. Her parents separated when she was 8. During her teenage years‚ she had several periods of psychiatric hospitalization. The adoption decision was difficult for her and she took me home for a week before deciding on placement. The name of my birth mother is Vera Mae Hamilton. . My birth mother was alive in 1994. She was in a car accident and experienced a brain injury. She was working in 1994 when I initiated the search. She must have been working in some type Of social service role in the Philadelphia area because she didn’t realize that the adoption agency wanted to discuss my search. She thought they wanted to see her regarding a work matter. After the adoption she started a nursing course. I was born in Nazareth hospital. I believe that she had additional children.
