Hello! I am looking for my father's birth family. My dad was born 6/7/36‚ so it's likely that his birth parents are deceased‚ but I am still holding out hope for an aunt/uncle/cousin. Dad passed away in 2000‚ and was never too concerned with finding out his back story. But as a mother myself now‚ I'd like to know where he came from and the story surrounding it. Here is what I know: Born 6/7/36‚ brought to St Joseph's Center in Scranton at 3 days of age. His bc states nothing other than his given name as Robert Hodge/Hodges. He was adopted by Ida Sloan-Moss and Clarence Moss and named Robert Joseph Moss. Controversy surrounded his adoption and rumors swirled that he may have been born to a family member. Unfounded‚ of course. One family member stated that his was a "shocking and heartbreaking" story. The family surnames are Reap‚ Jezorwski‚ Miller and Gildea. He also heard once that his bio father's last name was Comerford. Also not confirmed. Any help would be appreciated!
