My name is Beth Levine. My mother passed away, her maiden name was Carole Susan Grapin, from Philadelphia, PA. I was told that she had a child when she was 16 that she was forced to give up for adoption. She went to Northeast high school and lived on Norwalk Road. She was born 5/31/42. The birth certificate should have had her name as the mother. I’m not sure about the father, but it could be Lenny Glazer of Philadelphia or Frank Fetterman. She never spoke of this but I found out from a surviving uncle this truth. I am 47 and my sister is 52. My father is living, and does not know. But I do and I want to find out who our half sibling is, if they even know they are adopted. I believe the Dr was Dr Ed Winehouse (sp) who was the delivering Dr. Maybe at Einstein hospital in Philly. I believe he was working with infertility couples and arranged for these babies to be adopted out with a lawyer through closed adoptions. We are Jewish so it may have been through some type of Jewish adoption. Just a guess. ALSO, SAME THING HAPPENED to her 5 year younger sister, Brenda Ruth Grapin. My first cousin, Brian Freedman is looking for his half sibling as well, which he knows is a girl, that could have been born in 1971 in Philly. I live in Florida now
