I was 16 years old in 1978 and lived at Zoar Home for Unwed Mother’s in Pittsburgh‚ Pa from February‚ 1978 until the birth of my son at West Penn Hospital on May 21‚ 1978. I gave my son up for adoption at the Allegheny County Courthouse in Pittsburgh in July‚ 1978. I did not have any contact with my son after his birth. I found a letter from the social worker to me indicating that we had met and that I had expressed to her a desire to adopt my son out to a loving family however‚ the letter she sent was incorrectly dated 1977 (the year was actually 1978). I don’t know if this was a misprint or there was another reason for the social worker to have changed the date on the letter regardless‚ I have some concern that this error may impact my search. The social worker’s name was Mrs. Rena Hohash.
