Janet Erickson was my grandmother’s adoptive name. She had her adoption papers and it said her father’s and mothers name was Erkenbrack. I’m not sure if that spelled properly. She was born in 1945 I believe she is unsure if her birth date was her actual date of birth or was her adoption date. She was told her parents were polish refugees after world war II. They moved to Pennsylvania with eight kids and had three more in the first 3 years they were here. Catholic services came and took the three youngest and put them up for adoption because their family couldn’t afford more children. Janet has since passed away I have no dates or any other information as my aunt will not let any other family member access my grandmother’s papers. She married Ronald Walk sometime in the early fifties they had five children and were divorced some time in the mid-60s.
