My father was named by his biological mother as Chris Green at birth and was born in Philadelphia. Story has it that his biological mother, Gerry Green, who was around 40 years of age, was responsible to care for her parents as well as several siblings and therefore was unable to care for her child. An Aunt of Gerrys brought her to a Philadelphia Home for Jewish women and children to stay throughout her pregnancy and birth. This is also where my dad was raised. It took his adopted parents 2 years until they were able to bring him home. Gerry was also not married. There isn’t a name for the biological father, but he was a cab driver. He is 77 years old and has longed his entire life for contact with his biological family. Initially, he was waiting for his adopted parents to pass so no feelings were hurt, but time went by and now as an older man himself, I believe he feels bittersweet about his decision to wait. Please, if there is any information at all, we would all greatly appreciate it.
