Phyllis Hunsicker (adopted name) was born in Weatherly‚ PA and adopted by Clayton and Estella Hunsicker of Souderton PA. By the 1930 census she was already in her adopted parents hands. We believe the adoption occurred around the age of 4 or 5 years of age. Through oral history we believe she was the last born of a family of 5. The mother was a drunkard or ran off with another man leaving the husband with the 5 kids. There is a NJ connection with the family and conversations of what her father did for a living was a painter. Through DNA we think she came from a family with the name of Pruden but all enquiries with the DNA matches has been fruitless. We would like to know this part of our family and what really happened to her parents and siblings.
