I am in search of either of my birth parents. According to the birth certificate I have my mothers name is Margaret Marie Harer, my fathers name is Thomas Price Harvey. I was born on October 12, 1968. After contacting the Episcopal Children’s Services in Philadelphia which is the agency I was adopted from I learned a few non-identifying things about them. My mother is about 5’5", green eyes, brown hair. I’m guessing she was about 18 when she had me. She was sent to a home for unwed mothers through the Salvation army and I was born at Booth Memorial, which was on City Line Ave. in Philadelphia. She was in college at the time. My adoptive parents believe she was from the Scranton Area of PA. My father is 6’, blond hair blue eyes. They told me he was older than my mother. I don’t really know much else about him. After I was born I was placed in foster care for a bit before my adoptive parents took me home. I had a very good childhood but feel the hole that being an adopted person creates. I hold no grudges or anger towards being adopted. I know that being placed for adoption was the best possible solution at the time. I would like to learn my family history, discover where my roots come from and possibly get some information about my families medical history.
