I’m looking for my biological father‚ John R Colllins. His mother lived in Vandergrift‚ PA. Her name was Mary Elizabeth Hickey. She was known as Betty. She was married to George Berkeley Collins. She died in Manorville‚ PA in 1994. She lived in Charleroi‚ PA for many years. When my birthmother told her her son‚ John‚ had gotten her pregnant with me‚ Betty told my mother she did not think I was his. I have taken Ancestry and 23 and Me DNA tests and uploaded my results to My Heritage DNA‚ Family Tree DNA‚ and Gedmatch. I have very strong matches to both paternal lines. George died in 2001. His brother‚ James‚ was killed in Viet Nam. I was born at Jeannette Memorial Hospital in Jeannette‚ PA 18 Sep 1968. My birth name is Caroline Dale Ottenberg. I’ve already made contact with my biological mother. She doesn’t think my biological father deserves to know me‚ so I’m not including her information. The attorney who facilitated the adoption was Robert Key. The adoption took place at Greensburg County Courthouse in Greensburg‚ PA. My adopted father was Frank Herron‚ III who is deceased. My adoptive Mum is still alive and remarried. Date of Adoption was November 1969. My biological mother’s brother married a neighbor of my biological father. From a story I was told‚ my paternal grandmother told my biological mother she didn’t believe I was her son’s child‚ so if a paternity test is needed‚ I’m willing to have one done.
