Hello. I am a birth parent searching for my adopted child. I was single, age 22 and my maiden name was Rosemary Ticjak. I lived with my parents in Mt. Lebanon, Pennsylvania. The birth father’s name was Donald Knudsen. He is deceased. Our daughter was born on July 1, 1974 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania at McGhee Women’s Hospital. She is Caucasian. She weighed in at 8lbs, 10oz. Catholic Charties referred me to Elizabeth Duncan of Glassport, Pennsylvania. Mrs. Duncan and her husband took me into their home for approximately the last 3 months of my pregnancy. I was told the adoption was private and the records would be permanently sealed. I signed papers at the hospital just prior to being discharged. I was told my part was over. I didn’t know about a court date and years later I found out that "abandoned" was probably listed on court records because I did not appear in court. There is of course much more to the story. There’ve been so many tears over so many years. I’m hopeful of finding my daughter. Rosemary
