Chassidy Anne was born in Bentwater Texas on December 4th 1999. Life moved her and I to Oregon to find a new life with my mother. A horrible life event was taking me to prison for many years and Chassidy was placed into foster care. Having grown up in the foster system‚ I couldn’t imagine leaving my daughter to this same date and decided that adoption would offer a better life than one of upheaval and possibly no home and no stability guaranteed. I arranged to meet the family she was placed with and after a lovely day at the park I knew she would be loved and raised as a true daughter and not suffer the date of labeled unwanted. There was one request I granted‚ that which I have always regretted‚ and that was to do a Closed Adoption. The mother feared that my lifestyle might make me want to try reconnected with my daughter only to disappoint her lagain and again.
