My mother, Carolyn Jean Patterson, aka Karly Patterson, gave birth at age 16 to a son in Portland, Oregon. He went through a private adoption not an agency. My mother at the time lived with her mom in Burnt Woods, Oregon. I was told by an aunt that she thought the father was Loren Rose but I do not know. My mother kept all of this from me, I only learned of my brother after her death in 2000 in SC.
