I am the child of an Oregon adoptee. Though Oregon’s laws have opened for adoptees they are closed to the children of adoptees. My Mother was born‚ Gene Snow. She was born September 21‚1916 and adopted Nov 4‚ 1916. I am a genealogist and I share it with my family. They have a right to know their roots. We have NOTHING for my Mother and her ancestry. I am hoping that some family or friends of family have some credible memories of this adoption event that took place in Multnomah County‚ Ordgon. DNA testing snows that I and a 2nd great grandchild of William Clay Snow and wife Eleanor (Campbell) Snow of Humboldt County‚ California. I have many DNA matches connected to their nine children. I am now 81 years old and sure would like to fill in my family and meet some family. For my mother’s records to be locked down after 100 years is ridiculous. Oregon law is discussing against family rights. DAR
