This takes place in the mid 1800’s so all persons are dead. I am looking for my great Grandfathers adoption during a time when there were ship loads of Irish coming over to Canada and most sick or dieing from disease or Typhus. James and Mary Keating got on a boat in Ireland with their little son Peter Keating. They died either on the boat or shortly after they arrived. Peter was orphaned and as many children at the time was sent to live with whomever would take him. he was approximately aged 2-? age when he was adopted out. He remained a Keating so i’m not sure if there was an adoption. How do I find James, Mary and Peter.
