Trying to trace my grandmothers birth parents. She was born on 2 December 1928 and names Barbara Weatherup. Her birth was registered in Toronto the following day. Her adoptive parents were George and Alice Humpage. Joyce was not aware of her adoption until she was an adult. When she was a child living in Birmingham, England an uncle service in the Canadian Forces during WW2 did visit but this was kept from Joyce. This would suggest that Joyce/Barbara’s adoption was known by relatives from her Weatherup relations in Ontario.
