Hi‚ my name is Jessica (Jess) Lewis and I am trying to find my older brother. Our mother had him young and therefore gave him up for adoption. She has been battling cancer for a few years and passed away last week. In the weeks before her death I opened a 23andme account but she passed away before I had a chance to buy the DNA kit. My sister Tori and I want to find him. Our mother’s name is Janice Gatchell. Our brother was born in Oshawa Ontario‚ 1984. I found a folder with papers from the Durham Children’s Aid Society providing an update on “Baby Boy Gatchell” as a child‚ I am trying to find it again and see if there’s a case number or any details that can help. Closed adoption. June 9th‚ 19th‚ 24th and the 14th are potential birth dates… my sister cannot remember the exact date but she’s very confident he was born in June.
