Searching for children or grandchildren of "Phyllis Wellington". They would be the birth siblings or nieces/nephews of my mother Barbara Louise Wellington (deceased 2008). Barbara was born 19 Nov 1937 in Toronto‚ then placed in foster care at approx 3 weeks of age with Simcoe Cty social services. No formal adoption occured in 1940‚ 3 year old Barbara was at the orphanage in Aurora Ont when she was taken to live with the McCarroll family in Bradford/West Gwilliumbury (on a farm near Newton Robinson) until her marriage in 1957. Simcoe Cty msocial services provided the following info to Barbara in 1992: Barbara’s birth mother was (Phyllis Rosaline Wellington) b. 1916. Phyllis had also been a foster child in 1920 when her mother (Eva Rebecca Maxwell) died at Brantford Ontario and her father (Frederick Wallington) abandoned 3 children (Phyllis‚ and a younger brother (1918)‚ and an older 1/2 sister (Thora Eva Maxwell b.1914)). Names other than Barbara’s and Phyllis’ were gathered from research and may not be correct. Last name may be Wallington instead of Wellington. A "Judge Foster" in Barrie Ont may have helped Phyllis go away from Barrie to Toronto sometime in 1937 to have her baby. Phyllis Wellington may have become "Spencer" sometime before applying for a delayed birth cert in Toronto in 1974.
