My father was taken/adoped within the first two days of birth by Bertha and Eugenio Vidal. My father, Lawrence Eugene Vidal, was born February 22, 1930 at Mrs. O’Flannery’s Private Hospital in Sudbury, Ontario a hospital that did not keep records. The Vidal’s were married for five years, before my father’s birth, and there was no other child born during their marriage (Bertha had a daughter from a previous marriage). Family rumor has it that a domestic, who worked at the Vidal’s boarding house was my father’s real mother. Within days after my father’s birth, the Vidals left the Sudbury area and moved to South Porcupine Ontario. Names that are coming up in my DNA search are Secord, Bushier and Lamondi.
