My name was being spelt Jocelyn Nobis during my school years, until I sent out for my id’s. On my birth certificate is Joceline Nobis. My son was born at McKellar hospital in thunder bay ontario, May 30 or May 31, 1971 or 1972. I was sixteen year old when I had my son. I gave him his name Raymond Nobis, after my dad , his grandfather. The Children’s Aid Society social worker ensured I signed papers for him to be adopted. I did not want to let him go, but I was told I was to young and no home to take him. When I carried him for the full term of 9 months I resided in a home called the Florence Booth home for unwed mothers., also in Thunder Bay Ontario. I am now 61 years old. I have 4 grown children. But, my first born son had always been in my heart and mind throughout my years. This is were I kept him throughout my years. I am hoping to find my son asap. I am an Ojibway woman from Rocky Bay first nation also known as MacDiarmid On and now Known as Biinjiitaawabik Zaaging First Nation. Thank You/Miigwetch!
