I was born in London Ontario, I believe at St. Joseph’s Hospital. I believe my biological family lived in Aylmer and that Murray was the family name. This was a private adoption. My aunt and uncle (last name Howieson) new a couple (last name Murray?) who’s niece had just given birth to a baby girl, which she could not keep. At that time, the Howieson’s sister and brother-in-law (last name Morrison) were trying to adopt. My understanding is that my aunt Howieson started the arrangements with the Murrays. My understanding is that Children’s Aid did not approve of this adoption and therefore it was conducted privately. I was told at 16 and then again at 21 by my adoptive mother that my birth mother had a little girl born two years before me which she kept.
