I was adopted at the age of 5 and the crown ordered a closed file, meaning i was not allowed access to any of the information included, nor was i permitted to contact my birth parents at all. I know very little about them whatsoever, other than the few details i remember myself. Before my adoption, my given name from birth was Freyja Lavoie which was legally changed on the day of my adoption to Sarah Booth. My younger sister, who is my biological sister and was also taken and adopted at the same time... her name at birth was Tovah Lavoie which was then legally changed to Emily Booth as well. She is almost 3 years younger than me, therefore she is now 16 turning 17 and i am 20 years old. From what i know, i was born in Belleville Ontario and my birthmom’s name is Belinda... I was born on January 12 2001 and my sister was born September 9th 2004...
