Laura was born at the then General Hospital in St. Catharines‚ ON (which has been demolished since). I can't remember the doctor or nurses names‚ my GP at the time was Dr. R.C.S Rose. I was 28 at the time‚ and am now 46 (soon to be 47). Family and Children Services Niagara assisted in the adoption only two days after Laura's birth. My mother and I spent hours piling over the applicants binders and finally settled on a couple who had been trying for years to have a child. I wanted Laura to be with a family who had the ability to take care of her better than I would have been able to.
