I was born at 32 weeks at Toronto Western Hospital and admitted to Hospital for Sick Kids after delivery. My birth mother was originally from Barbados and moved to Toronto in 1966 where her sister lived. She was 18 when she gave birth to me. According to files by the Children’s Aid Society of Toronto my birth father was a stranger and the pregnancy was the result of an attack.
