My step-father was born in Ottowa-carlton, Ontario, Canada. His name at birth I was told was Jamie alof Lee. His name was changed after he was adopted to George Edward Eisenhauer also know as IKE. I am not fully sure if the adoption happened there or Montreal or even in Connecticut where his adopted family moved to from Nova Scotia. I have been compiling my genealogy to pass along to my kids. My step-father and I are or were in the same position ( since he has past on now) we were both unsure of our parents or who they were. I do know who my mother is and have been in her life. As for Ike from what we talked about he was just kind of left some where as far as he knew. In doing my ancestry I wanted to make sure that not only his family that he grew up with The Eisenhauers were in my tree but also his real blood. I would like to be able to pass on to them that he was was one of the greatest men I have ever know. I know he is not my blood father but for me he is my dad, father, old-man all in one. I know that for some it might bring up a past they are unwilling to reveal or remember so I do understand that. What I would like to do is just be able to to give him a true past that I have also been looking for and doing. Any help or info would be great appreciated.
