At my fathers funeral last month it came to light that I had a sibling I didn't know about. I thought‚ much like when my brother died wefound out he had a child we didn't know about and maybe he didn't know about. However‚ it turned out the child was my mothers. I have been in touch with her biological daughter who had a vague letter from Kawartha Haliburton Childrens Aid describing my mother which is completely in line with the history I knew of my mother. DNA matches. I am trying to find out when my sister would have been placed for adoption or was adopted by the family that raised her. My new Niece has said her mother remembers being in the orphanage. Unfortunately this comes at a time when anybody with any information including my new sister has passed away. Any information is helpful
