My lovely mother became pregnant when she was a teenager. She came from a large catholic family‚ with 9 other siblings. She was a very shy‚ introverted person and unfortunately went on a date with someone who took advantage of her. This resulted in pregnancy‚ and she was forced to hide the pregnancy and give the baby up for adoption. I have been hesitant to discuss this with my mother‚ as she felt so much guilt and sadness at the time she told me‚ and I am unsure of her feelings about meeting her child. We have not talked about it for almost 30yrs. My sibling would be about 3-5yrs older than me‚ I am presuming. I hope to talk to her and get some more information. I often think about the brother I have and would love to meet him‚ or at least know a little about him. I pray he has had a good life.
