Birth Name: Karren Leigh Dabbs The Birth Mother was born in Scotland in August 1946. Completed grades 5 to 10 in Ontario‚ and was employed as an office worker. She also has a daughter born out of wedlock‚ whom she kept who was born in 1967. Her father was born in England in Aug 1908. Was employed as an engineer. He died in 1983 from cancer of the back. Her mother was born in Scotland in October 1912. She had her left breast removed due to cancer (1960)‚ and she died in 1993. She has a sister‚ age 32 and married at the time of my adoption‚ who was also expecting a child in January of 1969. According to the birth mother‚ the birth father was born in January of 1941. His parents were killed in a car accident. He had 2 sisters aged 20 and 24 at the time of my adoption. She found out later that he was married and had given her an assumed name. The above information was obtained by my adopted mom through Family and Children's Services Niagara in 1985‚ but the information was taken at the time of the adoption. I have the adoption order. It is dated the 10th day of November‚ 1969. It stated the name given to me at birth... Karren Leigh Dabbs‚ province of Ontario‚ city of London‚ county of Middlesex... The judge was Thomas J. Darby. Children's Aid did do a search for my 1/2 sister...she was not aware of me and said she would find out and call back. I never heard anything more regarding that from the children's aid. 2nd search for birth mother...she was contacted by children's aid and not happy about it....saying it would cause problems. The search results came to me on November 10‚ 1993. Lynne Enright was the counselor helping me‚ along with another lady named Helina. I have a suspicion as to who my birth father could be‚ but I am still uncertain‚ as the birth mother's facts don't all match up. On March 20‚ 1969‚ I was placed on adoption probation with my adoptive parents. I would be thrilled to get in contact with any of the above-mentioned relatives.
