I am looking for anyone who may have information on my mother’s birth family. My mother was born September 11th 1962, at the Salvation Army hospital in Ottawa, her birth name was Patricia Marie Dagenais. She was admitted into care and was adopted by Bill and Elizabeth Holland on April 24th 1963 and given the name Susan Elizabeth Holland. (Sue Hutmacher) Her birth mother , who was born in 1937, had two daughters from her first marriage, they would be 60 and 61 years old now. She also has a full blood brother who would be 55 or 56. Her biological father had three children from a previous marriage, we have no information about them. My mother’s birth mother had three sisters and one brother. In January of 1962 the youngest sister was 16 and her plans were go to university. The second sister was 22 in 1963, she was married at sixteen and had one child. The third sister, age 32 in 1963, was sales clerk at a drugstore. They also had a brother, he was 21 in 1963 and he was a mechanic. We believe that my mother’s biological family lived in the area near Carleton Place, Ottawa in the early 1960’s. We have been trying to find anyone from my mother’s birth family as it has been a dream of hers. Please share this and help us.
