Birth mother’s name is Shirley Henry. She was twenty on when I was born. She was originally from Chatham‚ On but at the time of my birth she was living in Windsor‚ On. I was born at Hotel Dieu hospital in Windsor‚ On. My birth mother named me Shannon Mary Henry but after my adoption my name changed to the current name of Christine Mary Byrne. My birth mother‚ at the time of my birth‚ had six brothers and one sister. I was placed with the Children’s Aid society in Windsor‚ On. on January 8th‚ 1954. I was placed with what would become my adopting parents‚ Gerald and Rachel Byrne of Belle River‚ On. on Februrary 3rd‚ 1954.The adoption was finalized in March 30th‚ 1955. My birth father refused to support my birth mother. My birth mother was of French and Irish descent and my birht father was Ukranian (he was 28 yrs old at the time of my birth).
