I was born in Sudbury, ON. in 1994. My parents were in their early twenties and put me up for adoption through North Bay CAS. The North Bay/Sudbury office no longer connects the birth parents and child(ren) together. My birth parents named me Jacqueline after her bestfriend, and now it’s my middle name. She wrote me a letter for the few days she spent in the hospital with me. She wrote I would be able to get in contact with her when I turned 18, but at that point I just had a child of my own. Just over a year ago I mailed my information to a Toronto office that North Bay CAS told me about, and I haven’t heard anything back since.
