Lorraine (Squire) Aitken, adopted person, has been very ill with a kidney issue, and will require surgery. She received copies of her birth certificate and adoption records. I have tried for a year, using ancestry.com, to help, but am now at a loss. Lorraine did have a good life, adopted by loving parents, who are now deceased. Her dad was in the military. However, she has an emptiness that she wants to fill. Her birth mother was Beatrice Anne Blackburn, aged 19, single, when she gave birth to Lorraine on March 19, 1959 at St. Michaels` Hospital, in the county of York, city of Toronto. Her birth mother`s permanent address was 19 Seaton St., Toronto, Ontario and occupation waitress. Beatrice was Anglican, and of Canadian citizenship and was born in Ontario. Lorraine was named Laura Ann Blackburn at birth and her mother kept her till she was adopted on Feb. 10, 1961 in the County Court of the County of Prince Edward, Ontario. Her adoptive parents were John Ernest Squire and Maude Elizabeth Mary Squire, of the township of Hallowell, County of Prince Edward, Ontario. Her new name ``Lorraine Jacqueline Squire``. My husband found his biological daughter working in Ottawa, who had been adopted out by her mom, in Nova Scotia. He also found his biological brother and sister, in Halifax- all in the 90`s. His biological dad had died about 3 years prior to our search. He felt so alone and empty till they were found, so we do understand Lorraine`s situation. I found your site today, by chance. We are hoping you may be able to help us. Sincerely, Heather Chevalier Moncton, N.B.
