The adoptee was named Kathy (Cathy) Elaine at birth and was born at the Women’s College Hospital in Toronto to Jean Dawson MacKenzie. Jean was forced to give up her baby by her parents. She was able to receive information by petition to the Ontario government in 1990 regarding details about her adoptive family. I think this gave her great comfort to know she appeared to be adopted into a loving family. I am a niece of Jeans and therefore would be a first cousin to Kathy. She has several other cousins who would also like to connect with her‚ some residing in Ontario and the rest residing in Nova Scotia.
