Hi! My name is Stewart. I was born on May 6,1982 at Mississauga General Hospital in Mississauga, ON. I know a few small details that the adoption attorney told my dad. Allegedly my mother’s name was Heather and she was born in 1961 which would have made her 19 at the time of my birth. She had 6 brothers and sisters by 1982 and they lived on a farm in the Belleville area. I was told that she did not have a relationship with my father, but not sure if that’s true. For most of my life, I wasn’t really interested in finding out nor did I think it was a realistic possibility that I would find my biological family until last Christmas when I got one of those DNA tests as a Christmas present. Come to find out I have some awesome first, second, and third cousins that I have gotten to know because of that. It seems as though I come from the Davidson/McLeese family that settled in the Ottawa Valley before Confederacy, so it’s cool to know that I’m from old Canadian stock! I’m not looking to invade someone’s new life or cause major turmoil, but I would like to find my mother and father if possible and I’m even more interested to know if I have any biological siblings. I sent the paperwork into the Provincial government, but I live in the US so I have no idea how long it will take them to locate records and send them to me. Anyhow, if anyone knows anything and would like to help, I would greatly appreciate it!
