My father was adopted and I’m in search of family I haven’t met. My father was born as Peter John McCarthy on Aug 3‚ 1948. He was adopted out of London‚ Ontario‚ Canada within 3 years. His birth certificate only lists his mothers name & address on it. Her name was Beatrice Evelyn McCarthy. She was 25 yrs old in 1948 and her residence listed at the time of the birth was 353 Woodville Rd. St. John‚ New Brunswick‚ Canada. The certificate also states that she was a registered nurse. We are thinking that the pregnancy was a secret but we’re still hopeful to figure the mystery out. Taking a guess‚ I would think my dads parents were born in the 1920’s and could have possibly crossed the rainbow bridge by now unfortunately. Any information is greatly appreciated.
